Wells Fargo Bank
Wells Fargo is using a "Pay by Phone" service and what they are collecting for does not show up on my bank statement, only the fact they are collecting and a transaction date. This is a bad practice; my credit union should not allow it and Wells Fargo should not execute the practice. The practice makes it look like someone is debiting my bank account without my authorization. This is a bank practice that needs changing. The typical entry on my statement looks like this:
WFC PBP CP PAYBYPHONE 112309
How is one to know the validity of the entry? The only thing that changes from one entry to the next is the date. read full review »
