I called the office of the Georgia Insurance Commissioner to find out why United Health Care was sued for $750, 000 by the state of Georgia. The investigator told me it was because they would not pay for claims in the time period specified by law. He also told me this is the second time Georgia has had to sue the company. United Health Care was sued for the same thing about a year ago for $2.8 million. This is the company AARP is advertising on TV as the company senior citizens should get for their supplementary to Medicare.
