I co-signed (two) student loans for my son who had (four) different loans with Salliemae. He has become a deadbeat and Salliemae is hoping to get me to pay for loans I am not responsible for. I suppose they think I will try to hound my deadbeat son for them. Problem is I have not seen him and couldn't help Salliemae collect from him even if I wanted to. They told me just to send my payments in and they will apply the money to the loans I co-signed for.
