I signed up for AT&T high speed internet at an AT&T retail store. They scheduled set up for 12/9/2009. On 12/11/2009, I still couldn't set up the "self-installed" service, so I called their tech support. After walking me through all of the steps to set up (which I had already done), he looked up that they hadn't turned on the service yet. They said the earliest they could set it up was 12/15/09.
