In July we were contacted by Bank of America offering its Making Home Affordable Plan to lower our house payments and interest rate. We went through a ton of paperwork and were told not to make our August payment so we could qualify for the 3 month forbearance. The 3 months of payments were lowered about 80 dollars and we were told to sent them to a new york address. During this time I made numerous calls to ensure everything was alright.
