I Purchased a 1, 000 gateway lap top in Dec, of 2007. The computer worked fine until Feb, then it started freezing up and shutting down on it's own, I called into gateway 3 different times asking for help, they would suggest things to try and they even sent me out a battery, they were thinking it was a battery issue, or maybe it was reheating.
