Last month I decided to go with a prepaid phone (total of $80/year rather than $240/year with Verizon Wireless). On April 3 I called to let them know I wanted to drop Verizon service. The rep said I would have to pay till April 13 (my regular cycle). I agreed with the idea that I would use my old system till 4/14.
