I went to J.C. Penny Optical and bought a pair of glasses because my old glasses were flaking. They told me it was the anti-reflective coating. I did not need new glasses except for the flaking. I purchased a pair of new glasses and specified that I did not want the anti-reflective coating. About 1 1/2 yrs. later my glasses are flaking again. I went back to J.C.
