I have two credit card accounts with Wells Fargo that had fairly high ceilings -- $8, 000 and $3, 000 with a 16.5% interest rate. I kept the balance at zero because I only wanted to use the card for emergencies. However, two different Wells Fargo affiliate offices contacted me and suggested that I transfer other high credit card balances and interest rates to the Wells Fargo card because in the long term I would save money.
