you offend one way or the other when you say Happy Holidays rather than Merry Christmas. Last night I went into my local Waffle House restaurant and told the waiter Merry Christmas. He responded Happy Holidays. I asked why he said that rather than the traditional Merry Christmas greeting. He shared that he was told that was the Christmas response they were to give to their customers. Either way someone is offended with the Happy Hoidays or Merry Christmas response.
