We purchased a Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator in Summer 2007. 2 days after receiving the refrigerator we realized that the refrigerator was leaking water, and had been doing so since installation. The water pump failed and water caused damage to our basement ceiling and wood floors in the kitchen causing 10K worth of damage. This weekend (remember, refrigerator is only 2.5 years old) we had a fire in the fridge. Fire was caused by the light system overheating and melting the plastic casing.
