It looks like the e-mails to their bank hit a nerve - I got a phone call from Plaza Bank last week that they would expedite any refund due, and are in the process of shutting down this illegal operation. I don't see many new complaints on any of the internet sites, so I'm assuming that their days are numbered. I'd love to be a fly on the wal when their little telemarketing people suddenly realize that they aren't getting paid anymore because all the $$$ is frozen. Couldn't have happened to a nicer group. read full review »

A few fays ago, I applied for a payday loan, online. Through some kind of phishing scam, this company debited my checking acct. for $69.95, which I discovered the next day. I immediately called this company, and was advised that the fee is for "membership" in their club. I advised them I never authorized this charge, and they agreed reluctantly to "cancel" my "membership" - and further said that they would send me a refund check...within 2-3 weeks!!
