I purchased a Craftsman Model#53688150 Serial# 754712521268C approx. 2 years ago. It worked for 1/2 the first winter. Mechanically it was fine. The outside of this snowblower is made of hard plastic and the scapper blade has broken twice which requires the entire housing that incases the motor to be replaced. Sears repair says they have had this problem on lots of these snowblowers but there has been no recall issued so they want to charge $232.00 each time it breaks.
