My mortgage payment is due on the 1st of each month. I received a several calls from GMAC's collections department several days after the 1st of the month telling me that they were going to take legal action against me for not making my payment on the 1st. I will openly admit that I have made my payments around the 1st through the 5th of the month (one payment on the 9th - OH NO!!), but I have NEVER missed one payment!!
