Kenmore Central AC

Sears installed a Kenmore central a/c unit few years ago and the unit has been under a master protection agreement since then, had a problem with unit not working properly and called Sears, tech came and said that the thermostat needs to be replaced and he wants $350.00 to replace a $40 unit that takes less than 2 minutes to replace it. As with every other complaint I have read on this website I also was scammed by Realty Trac/ REPromoter and they charged $44.95 per month for two months. I called RE Promoter on Dec 23rd 2009 when I discovered the error and they promised to refund the amounts. They have so far only refunded one amount and I have not received the second refund even though they claim that both refunds have been processed. I have spent several hours dealing with this issue and now I am in the process of disputing the charge with the bank to get the 2nd refund. I... read full review »
