I had been a customer of Vonage since 2004 and called to cancel my account as the charges had gone from $9.99 a month to $23 a month without any notice. I also discovered Skype could offer better service at a much reduced price. The customer service person offered to reduce my rate again which was great, but told them I still was not interested. I had to request 5 times to have my account canceled and the person then tried to essentially tell me I was stupid for switching since it isn't a real service.
