When hired to work in a bakery, one would think those doing the baking would have a clue about cakes. Well... not at the Shop Rite in Lawrenceville, NJ. I called the bakery requesting a Jewish Apple Cake. This is a very simple cake, made with apples (not kosher by any means). It has been around a very long time.
