My original auto loan was through Sovereign Bank that was bought out by Santander. I requested a PAYOFF amount and sent funds to the CORRECT address but 3 weeks later my check was returned REFUSED. I called the bank and the CSR informed me they were having problems with payments being sent back refused and that I have OTHER options to make a payment (all cost an additional 11.95 wire fee) I asked for the fee to be waived with no luck. I've never in my life dealt with such incompetence, why should the consumer have to pay additional fees because there refusing payments by mail? This has SCAM written all over it. read full review »
