We went to Regions to close our checking acct. and were told it had already been closed because the last check that cleared had taken the last of the money in the account. I thought that was strange but asked what should we do about a Sears check that hadn't cleared. We were told to go to the store and pay it in person. Sears agreed that was a good idea, (BAD IDEA!) The check that had been sent to Sears by mail was then sent to Regions and bounced. Went back to the bank and asked how we could be charged a $35 fee when the acct. wa... read full review »
