I purchased a VW Beetle from Luxor Auto on Oct. 29, 2009. While test driving the car I noticed it shifted rough but the salesguy assured me that it just needed motormounts replaced and it was definatly not a transmission problem because that would have shown up on their diagnostic reports. Luxor did replace the motormounts but this was not the problem because it was still shifting rough.
