Credit Card Companies

Is it just me or are the credit card companies hitting us up for Late Charge Assessments on purpose? I'm beginning to see a definite pattern of this kind of action involving some (not all) my own credit cards, whether I pay them well in advance on line or with a check by mail. (When I'm hit with one of these late fees, the payment is always one day late). When I call to complain, the charges are usually waived. Beware! Check your credit card statements carefully. If you see INT IDPOTECT. You have been scammed to the tune of $19.95 a month. Immediately call their 877-974-1563 phone number, (1) have them remove your name from their list and 2. demand a refund. Note: They will probably only waive their LAST charge. However, if you have multiple charges (that is, if you didn't spot the charges over a number of months) you are flat out of luck. They will not refund your money. The next step. Immediately call their 888-337-4295 phone number, (1) have them remove your name from their list and 2. demand a refund. Note: They will only refund your LAST payment.
