Everyone needs to check their escrow statements! I have a overage of 1014.82 in my escrow account per my 2009 Annual Tax & Interest Statement. Instead of my mortgage payment going down it went up! When I called Midland Mortgage they said it went up because of a possible property tax increase. How can that be? There's no way my property taxes can go up that high to justify the increase in my payment plus the extra money already in my escrow account. As I understand it at the end of the year your escrow should be near a ZERO balance. read full review »
