I too had such a run around with Lend America. 5 times my escrow was extended because they never got the paperwork done on time. When we reached the last extension...they said my property tax would make my debt ratio too high...even though they were basing it on the last person's taxes on the house from 3 years ago. They wanted me to run around to the city and county to get an estimate of my taxes even though we told them according to CA law, I'd be paying 1% of the purchase price.
