I received an offer from advanta last spring for 3.99% rate for the life of the balance- received this month's statement, they have raised the rate to 29.99%. I have never been late and they claim the offer was only for 6 months, called customer service (3) times and all they tell me is that there is nothing they can do. I read all offers over with a fine tooth comb, I know it was for the life of the balance. Are they just getting desperate because of the pending bankruptcy?
