We had a line of credit - credit card with American Express that they raised the interest rate from 9.9% to 30% (we never made a late payment either) since Congress passed the bill. We made large payments to pay off the debt and after making our last payment (weeks before the due date) online we got a bill this month still owing $95 in interest! I called them and they refused to take off the interest. This company does not care one bit about the consumer and the hard times we are having. I encourage everyone to never open an American Express account and if you have one you are trying to pay-off - good luck they will suck you dry! read full review »
