Just when life can't possibly get any worse, I just received my DTE Energy gas bill today. Normally I pay $40 per month for gas but my bill has dramatically increased to $167.00 per month. According to DTE Energy, there was a “Gas Rate Change” and I have to pay it or they will shut it off. Crazy right, I don't recall ever receiving a notice from DTE Energy letting me know my gas bill would be over 4x’s what I use to pay per month.
