I bought a toshiba tv 50" along with the GE extended warrenty, that was July 2006. Feb 14 2009 the TV went out, I have been fighting ever since with the warrenty co. They sent someone out with a new lamp, it worked about 6 hours and went out, then they said it needed a whole new "brain board", they couldn't locate one, I called finally and was told they did locate one but it would be 5 -6 weeks before it came in.
