We took a Samsung phone in for service because of buzzing heard during call. The customer service folks told us that the phone had been water damaged. (It had not.) The dot showed red but we asked all the customers currently in the store to check their phones. All Samsung phones had red dots -- even those that worked! I'm convinced all Samsung phones get the red dots so that the company doesn't have to honor its warranty. What a rip off! Don't buy a Samsung phone. They will not honor the warranty.
