Bank of America probably got hammered by legislation that does not allow them to arbitrarily jack up interest fees to 32% So I noticed that BOA and Capital One have a new trick. They can simply print the minimum payment on the statement. But this does not reveal that if you do not pay the full amount to get the balance low enough, they can charge you an over-the-limit fee. Both banks did that to me this month. What a scam - not telling you the actual amount to whittle down the balance so that you can avoid a late fee. And I doubt there is anything I can do about it.
