I'd heard horror stories about other peoples experiences with Bank of America. I some how let them draw me in with a free $100.00 deposit for opening a checking account as a first time consumer. It's something that I wish I'd never done...ended up being a complete nightmare with them. They intentionally held pending debits on my account far beyond 5-7 business days only to charge me 35.00 per transaction as a result of funds being held.
