Upon closing I had a 6.375% interest rate on my mortgage. I was on the lookout for a lower rate, but was told by my rep at Wells Fargo (DP*), that I needed to wait three months after closing to go for a refinance. As luck would have it, the mortgage rate dropped to its lowest days after that 3 month period ended and I was on-the-ball and locked in a 4.75% rate which would have been wonderful.
