I am over 65 and have had Dallas County Deferred Property Tax since 2005. DCAD has reported my taxes delinquent for a second time, this time to AHMSI. My previous mortgage company obtained a refund from DCAD and even apologized for the inconvenience that it caused. AHMSI recently bought my mortgage. I had no choice in the matter. I wouldn't have chosen them as my mortgage company to begin with. So guess what they did? Yep, they paid the taxes AGAIN, in spite of have the deferral affadavit on file.
