I purchased a 42" Samsung T.v in June 2009 (great t.v, but crap program menu) to find that 7 1/2 months later a big line appeared right down the middle. So I took it back to the store I purchased it from (as you do!), only to be rudely told that I could not have a replacement and that it needed to be looked at by an engineer. The FAT manager called me a liar in regards to the law (i'm a law student) and repeatedly avoided answering questions about the problem and product itself.
