I thought I was applying for a payday loan, but decided I didn't want to accept. Several days later, my checking account was charged $149.95. I called the 800 number and was told I should have read the fine print, that the $149.95 was a membership fee for getting an unsecured $7500 credit card. I was pressured to keep the "card" with promises of receiving a check in the mail for $75. I was warned that it would harm my credit by cancelling the card.
