I've been trying to complete a short sale now for over 9 months with Bank of America. My first purchase contract came on Sept 2, 2009 and after waiting 6 months to decide BofA decided that they wanted me to pay and additional 10% over what the buyer was willing to pay. Because I've spent the last 5 years paying the mortgage in spite of being out of work twice I simply don't have any money left.
