Tired of my DirecTV shutting down, being told I would have to pay for an HDTV box to receive HD service and receiving poor service, I intended to leave DirecTV. I spoke to a customer service rep who, in an attempt to keep us, sent us a coupon for a free PPV movie. We watched the movie but chose to close our account anyway. The bill came with the charge for the movie after we closed the account. We had a credit on our account but also had the coupon for the movie.
