Went to the Applebee's in Hixson, Tennessee, at about 12:30 on Tuesday, August 31. Ordered the usual: small oriental chicken salad. The lettuce was wilted, had black edges, and tasted "old." The other ingredients in the salad mix (carrot, cabbage, etc.) were scarce, as were the almonds and toasted noodles that make this salad "oriental." Service was lagging, even though the restaurant was 2/3 empty. Even though this has been one of my go-to places for lunch, I won't be going back anytime soon. read full review »
