When you setup a new Capital One Money Market account, there is a question that asks if you are subject to Fed Tax withholding, and if yes, you check the box. I have never checked the box, but now for the 3rd time on 3 different accounts, they have withheld fed tax. On one account, the only way I could resolve the problem was to close the account. I was told that I had to write a letter and ask to have the tax withholding stopped, I did that twice and they did not stop it.
