My Kenmore garbage disposal stopped working 2 weeks ago. Since it had a 7-year warranty, I called Sears "service" to see what my options were. I was told by a female employee that the earliest they could send someone out was in 2 weeks time. That seemed an awfully long time, but I agreed when I was EXPLICITLY assured that the service call would not cost me anything and the Sears technician would either fix or replace the unit.
