Well, I feel stupid. I had seen some complaints- but did not fully investigate. When the IRS is calling- you panic! I too was told that with not enough income- I would qualify for "uncollectable"... then the repeated requests for "financial statements" kept arriving... and 9 months later I am hit with a levy! They took $14, 000 from our checking. Most of it was not our $$- it was for a family funeral we were all trying to help with !
