I thought Sears had lost their touch. Especially after reading the complaints on this website. However always believing it doesn't hurt to bring one's complaints to "the top" I wrote the CEO of Sears, sending Priority Mail, regarding a faulty vascuum cleaner that oozed soot-like film from its motor. It was disgnosed as carbon and the tech could not guarantee, even w/the disgnosis being replacement of the motor, that it wouldn't happen again!
