I applied for a mortgage loan with USAA. I was conditional approved and was set to close on May 4 as long as I provided specific paper work, ie: bank statements, 401k statements, tax returns, relocation letter stating no adverse change to position or pay. Friday, April 30, I signed the closing papers for the house I was selling. Just after signing my house over, USAA calls to tell me that my letter from my employer is not good enough and they can not give me the loan. This is 2 1/2 day before closing on the new home.
