Due to an emergency I had to go out east for a couple months, where I was informed that my TCF account was negative. Upon talking to the customer service line they informed me that even though I had signed a contract for a FREE checking account, they were able to change the contract at any time. I advised them that I had notification of any changes and had been out of state.
