LG refrigerator, model LFC23760SB, dead at the age of 1 1/2 years. LG oven dead at the age of 2 weeks but was able to repair it since it was still under warranty. LG refused me an extended warranty for the refrigerator since the original 1 year warranty expired. After talking with many appliance repair companies (some of who refuse to work on LG products) I was told that LG knew of the problems with these refrigerators but opted to not recall them since these problems typically manifest after the warranty has expired.
