Upon losing my disability, and worrying that I would fall behind until my appeal case was complete I contacted Citimortgage to be a "pro-active" customer. After explaining my situation to the rep. I was urged to do a loan modification. The rep. told me that the only way I could be approved for a loan mod. was to stop payment for 3 months.
