I have been a loyal customer of AMEX for about 6 years now. I have never made a late payment and always paid several hundred dollars above the minimum payment due. A few months ago I was informed that they were lowering my credit limit to the balance due to too much extended credit which is bull. I have a credit rating of 850, a single mortgage, and only one other low limit credit card. Today I paid the balance and asked to have my account closed. All AMEX had to say was OK. They did not care enough to ask why I was closing my account. read full review »
