I mailed by payment for Sam's Club Discover card 4 days prior to the due date, and I received a late fee ($15.99). The date the payment was received was one day after the due date, which is debateable since the payment was mailed to the state next to where I live. I called immediately after I saw the charge online and asked to have it removed. The $15.99 late fee was the only charge for the current month and since it was removed, the agent that I spoke with said I did not need to send a payment.
