BEWARE of American Express . I too have had a bad experience with American Express. My payments were auto debited from my account, I was never late, only the time American Express could not draw on their end, what a mess that was. I was assured it wouldn't change my account. Well that was in 2008, it has just now. My rate went from 4.99% to 17.99%. I haven't used the card, so they weren't making enough money off me I guess.
