I bought a 2001 KIA Sportage 4x4 when it had only 17 miles on it. I can't use the 4x4 in the winter because it freezes when the temp. reaches 32 degrees F. The KIA mechanic told me there is a condensation box that is exposed to the elements. He said the whole vehicle was very poorly designed. I have gone through 4 heater blower motors. There is a screen right under the windshield that allows debris and water to get into the blower unit.
