Nationstar took over our mortgage from Flagstar Bank. Apparently, they did not receive full records from Flagstar and concluded that I did not have homeowners insurance. They automatically instated a ridiculously expensive insurance and established an escrow account on my behalf to pay for it. Even though I submitted proof of insurance (with the excellent help of my insurance company, Liberty Mutual), they kept the escrow account and the insurance active.
